How much will it cost ?

For Solar PV - we currently have a deal of £8995 for 10 panels, a 3.6kw Solis Inverter and 5kw Pylontech battery fully installed. However every install is subject to survey as every home, every roof, household energy consumption and energy tariff is different. All of these factors influence how much you will save on our 25 year projection that we provide as part of our 'performance estimate' document.

For EV charger Install - once we have an idea of what charger you require you are looking for/ what can be installed at your property we can quote a price during our initial conversation that we guarantee will beat the rest.

How long will my setup last?

Although there is no definitive answer to this, as a rough estimate solar panels are expected to last around 25 years, where inverters should last over 10 years. Upgraded warranties (up to 20 years) can be purchased from the manufacturers however. These variables will be quoted into our 'bottom line' 'performance estimate' report regarding system efficiency, lifespan and financial return that we provide prior to installation, giving you the facts to base your decision on.

Do I need 'battery' storage for my Solar panels ?

This is a factor best determined through survey but as a general rule we always advise you do. In the past the 'feed in tariff' gave substantial financial benefits to households who 'exported' their additional power generated from Solar to the national grid. Since that ended, the advisable thing to do is to store the energy used during sunlight hours for use at night when most household power is consumed to make full use of your solar setup and use less power from the national grid. Obviously, the larger the battery the larger the storage but this is also relative to the amount of power generated from the solar panels.

Can Solar PV provide ALL of my power?

This relies on a number of factors, namely the size of the battery storage and the amount of sunshine there is. We have seen some of our installs provide the majority of a households needs. Again, individual household energy usage is the key variable in this equation, but the savings more than justify the need to have solar, not to mention the benefit to the environment. More specific figures can be provided once we have carried out a survey and have your energy usage figures.

Will my panels only work when the sun is shining ?

Solar panels continue to collect energy throughout daylight hours even when overcast, more panels = more capacity to harness energy. This coupled with an appropriate sized inverter results in a highly efficient power source. Ofcourse, more energy will be generated in better weather, but with the addition of a high capacity battery, solar PV can provide energy throughout the night as well.

Can I charge my Electric Vehicle from my Solar Panels ?

Yes ! Certain EV chargers that we install (namely 'Zappi' and  'Wallbox') can work in conjunction with Solar PV to act as a 'battery' of sorts resulting in the ultimate carbon footprint solution, effectively charging your electric vehicle from the sun ! please enquire for motor information

Will Solar Panels add value to my home upon resale?

Although there are mixed opinions from estate agents, what potential buyer wouldn't welcome the incentive of a house that generates it's own electricity saving them £££'s ? Energy prices aren't forecasted to decrease any time soon, meaning escalating energy cost = more savings from renewable energy.

Can you install kit that I have sourced myself ?

In short, no, the reason for this is that we only source and install kit that we use regularly from our trusted suppliers. For this reason we are entirely knowledgeable about the setups we use and can assure customers of the best quality product and guarantees on all items
